Can Gaming be a Hobby or a Profession?
Good day, Readers!! Hello and welcome to my first blog. Today, we're going to discuss a topic that is both interesting and controversial for some millennials: "Can Gaming be a Hobby or a Profession?" My name is Abhishek Sharma, and I am from Faridabad. Since childhood, I've considered gaming to be one of my favorite pastimes. From classic NES games like Mario, Adventure Island, and Contra to modern console games like God of War and Spiderman, and PC games like Control, GTA V, and Call of Duty, all of these games are a part of your daily routine at some point.
Every game today not only brings fascinating stories and excellent graphics, but it also has something unique to offer. When it comes totoday's gaming industry, is even faster growing than the film industry. It's a novel and enjoyable way to meet new people.
The professional side of gaming is quite distinct. E-Sports is a competitive aspect of gaming. Many gamers have taken advantage of opportunities to advance their careers, and for many of them, e-sports is a career in and of itself. When I was in college, I also competed in some competitive gaming events using games like Need for Speed, Counter-Strike, Mini Militia, and others. E-sports are rapidly expanding in India. Many game development companies are organizing events to promote E-sports in India, such as PUBG Mobile, Clash of Clans, and Call of Duty.
Some of the benefits of gaming include improving people's puzzle-solving abilities, acting as a stress reliever at times, and the list goes on. But, as with anything, too much is bad for your health. So, excessive gaming can lead to self-isolation, addiction, and, if you're not careful, a large hole in your pocket. It, like everything else, should be balanced.
I would advise young people to get into gaming. From casual to hardcore gamers, gaming offers a diverse experience. In terms of my personal experience, I would say that gaming has introduced me to some amazing people from all over the world.
